What's the diffrence?

Custom Built Saunas are designed around your space, there is more flexibility to fit the dimmensions of your home, and needs. e.g. 1 seater saunas, built into a bathroom, or a 6 seater electric sauna built into your garden. The choice is yours.

Pre-Built Saunas are existing designs, already built, ready to be shipped from our warehouse. They are brought to your house already built, and lifted in via crane.

Can a sauna go indoors?

Yes. A sauna can go into a spare room, a garage, a bathroom, a basement or a new extension. Indoor builds need proper ventilation and the right electrical supply, and they are usually custom rather than an existing design because they have to fit an existing room.

How long does a sauna last?

A properly built sauna is a permanent structure, not an appliance. The timber and the build should last decades with normal care. Heaters have a shorter life than the room around them and get replaced when the time comes.

How much space does a sauna need?

Less than most people expect. A two person sauna fits in a corner of a room or a small section of a garden.

Do I need planning permission for a sauna in Ireland?

It depends on size, height and where it goes on the site. Many domestic garden buildings fall under exempted development, but there are conditions, and an indoor sauna forming part of a renovation is a different question again. We check it as part of scoping every project rather than leaving it with you.

Wood fired or electric, which is better for a home?

Electric is the more practical choice for most homes. It heats on a timer, needs no fuel, and works indoors without a flue. Wood fired gives you the fire, the smell and the sound, and it suits a garden sauna where the ritual is part of the appeal. Neither is better. It depends on whether you want convenience or the experience of tending it.

What does a sauna cost in Ireland?

Custom home saunas typically range from 8,000 to 20,000 euro. The figure moves depending on size, the timber, the heating system and how complex the build is. An existing design costs less than a custom build of the same size, because the design work is already done.

What is the difference between a custom built sauna and one of your existing designs?

A custom sauna is designed from scratch around your space. That is the option when the space is tight, awkwardly shaped, indoors, or when the sauna needs to fit into a wider build. An existing design is one of our two fixed designs, made to order in our workshop and lifted into position on your site. Both are fully installed by us. The difference is where the design starts, not the standard of the build.

Can a sauna be built offsite and installed in a single day?

Yes, saunas can be manufactured offsite and installed in a single day depending on the size and complexity of the build.
